Why LBW? What's in a Name?

When considering the stature of an athlete or for that matter any person, I set great store in certain qualities which I believe to be essential in addition to skill. They are that the person conducts his or her life with dignity, with integrity, courage, and perhaps most of all, with modesty. These virtues are totally compatible with pride, ambition and competitiveness.

-Sir Donald Bradman
1908-2001

Look, I must confess that right from my teenage days I got bowled over by cricket-an expression of life.It has virtually everything that life provides-winning ,losing, fair play, practice, commitment, team work, playing under pressure, camaraderie, contribution, patriotism, personal discipline what not, you name it, it's all there in cricket!

The truth is, I have always lived my life and my profession the cricket way!.

Why LBW? Here are some more reasons:

In Cricket law 36 Describes LBW and it is indeed a complex decision!
Cricket is a game played not only within its Laws, but also within the spirit of the Game
The spirit of the game involves respect for:

Your opponents

Your own captain and team

The role of the umpires

The game's traditional values

LBW sounds positive! See it from a bowler's point of view... what a joy from the bowler's side" wrapped him on the pads, there's a loud appeal and he's given out, howzatt from the bowler's side, joy I guess! and talk about perspectives!!
An LBW decision requires great knowledge, judgement, fairness and decision making
